Analysing Music Videos

In the intial analysis of a music video, we looked at how artists are portrayed through differemt uses of camera shots, camera movemetns, editing postproduction digital effects, lighting and mise-en-scene. Due to the fact that we had already established that the main function of a music video was for promotional reasons, directors use these techniques for the audience to engage with the artist.
