Unsure of how to approach planning my own music video, I decided to look at other videos to gain inspiration:
I looked on VUBE. What better way to gain some information and ideas, based on people that are in the same situation as me?
There were some music video's which I really loved. For example:
Keep Singing --> http://vube.com/Goodnight+Neverland/rdWQ1j9zNL?t=s&u=2NmU5j7Wcc
I like the special effects used at the beginning. The out of focus gives the sense of be wilderness and adds interest to the scene.
I also like the use of the subtitles, especially when they take the shapes of the objects in the frame, for example climbing up the frame.
I think that I will use subtitles in my video, as I think that they make it more memorable, clear and fits with the genre of being individual!
Bitch Don't Kill my Vibe --> http://vube.com/GeorginaRevellMusic/o41VjrWB2w?t=s
I like the sepia effect that is used throughout the video. It adds a different outlook on to everyday visuals.
The handheld camera was perfect, gave a small sense of disorientation which I thought worked perfectly with the fluidity of the song.
The camera often focused and unfocused, again showing a sense of disillusionment in the be wilderness. I like this effect, and adds a calmness and relaxed feel to the visuals, which changes how you interpret the lyrics.
An extreme close up is used many times throughout this video, however, it often just shows her lips or her eyes and not her entire face. I think this is really effective, as it is more intense.

I looked at this video and was encapsulated by the amazing animation. It told a story and was interesting because it was different! Unfortunately, i do not have the tools and software to be able to had this effect. However, if I did, I think that I would take this effect in to consideration.
