FRONT COVER
The front cover shows a closeup of a middle aged man smoking. i think that the simplicity of the image is very striking to the eye. It caused a lot of controversy and the NHS said it 'reinforced the idea that smoking is ok.'This suggests that they have quiet a young target market, as they are more easily influenced. The theme of the digipak is black grey and white, all very monochrome and shows continuity. The image on the front is slightly disorientated, and this may be describing the current state of mind of the man. The image of the ciggarette is heavily influenced and this has a lasting effect on the bands image as it shows that they are rebelious and care-free. This is further emphasised on the CD itself, which suggests the band is hard-core.
The font is maintained the same throughout and is clear and legible, which shows that professionalism is maintained.
Their clothing and hair styles are also very simple and casual and this reflects what type of band they are. It also suggests thats they can link to their target audience.
THe artmonkeys also include a thank you speech and it includes funny jokes and humour. This ultimately presents the band as laid-back and chilled.
