MTV: How it changed music

MTV Music channel was based in New York City in 1989.
MTV launched with the words 'Ladies and gentleman, rock and roll.' This was a new and never seen before thing on TV. What made it so revolutionary was the fact that it was the first and only channel dedicated completely to music, and it as a result promoted the music video in a way that it had never been before. Overall, the public became more engaged with music artists as a result of the visuals.
Video killed the radio star was the first song to ever to be played.
How has MTV used synergy and convergence to broaden its audience base? MTV have developed many ways in order to broaden their audience for example having different MTV awards such as MTV Video Music Awards and MTV Movie Awards

Without Music Television, we quite possibly wouldn't have music videos today.
